Tribute to Jim Rohn

By Shecky

This past Saturday, on December 5th, Jim Rohn passed away. If you are not familiar with his work, Jim was truly one of the elder statesmen of the Personal Development industry. He was raised a poor farm-boy from Idaho, but by the time of his passing, he had impacted millions of people around the globe.

It was about 7 years ago that I was re-introduced to the Network Marketing industry. My sponsor said, “If you’re going to be serious about this industry, you’re going to have to listen to Jim Rohn.” He gave me a recording of Jim talking about his philosophies of life, one of them being “The Lessons of the Seasons.” So, I listened…and listened…and listened…and listened.

Mr. Rohn had an amazing ability to take many of the complexities of life, and make them seem simple. I have since purchased many boxed sets of Jim’s recordings, and consider them among my most prized possessions. I have subscribed to his weekly email newsletter for years, and have rarely missed reading the newsletter…yes, it’s THAT good. His influence on me has been so profound, that I can honestly say that I would not be where I am without him.

Although this is only the tip of the iceberg, there are so many great lessons in this video, I feel compelled to include it here. If you’re a Jim Rohn fan, you’ll be reminded of how great his lessons were. If you’ve never been exposed to Jim, get ready to become much smarter about your life.

Sadly, I never had the chance to thank Jim personally, so I offer my public thanks here. Thank you Mr. Rohn for all of the wonderful lessons you gave us. Your teachings will forever be in our hearts, and your legacy will live forever.

In gratitude,

Shecky
